Most of what we sell is ready to wear. But some of the best pieces we've ever made didn't exist until someone asked for them. Custom orders are a real part of what House of Hide does — and if you've got something specific in mind, chances are we can make it happen.
Here's how it works.
How Does a Custom Leather Order Work?
It starts with a conversation. Reach out via DM, email, or come find us at an event — we do in-person consultations at our market stalls too, so if you've spotted us at a rodeo or a festival and want to talk through an idea, that's a perfectly good place to start.
From there, we work out the details together: the piece, the leather, the colours, the customisations. Once everything's confirmed and full payment is made upfront, your order goes into production. Allow 6–8 weeks from confirmation to delivery.

What Can I Customise?
More than you'd think. Here's what we do:
Custom Leather Boots
- Colour — white wedding boots, custom colourways, or something we haven't made before
- Hand-tooled designs — florals, geometric patterns, your initials pressed into the leather
- Custom painted details — hand-painted artwork on the shaft of the boot
- Sizing — if you're between sizes or need a specific fit, we can work with that
- Embroidery and embellishment — fringe, studs, stitching details

Wedding Boots

Custom Leather Jackets
This is where it gets seriously good.
- Hand-painted artwork — longhorns, florals, landscapes, or your own design painted directly onto the leather
- Your name, brand or logo — tooled or painted onto the back panel
- Custom sizing — if our standard sizing doesn't fit the way you want it to, we sort it
- Fringe customisation — more fringe, less fringe, no fringe, placed differently
- Colour — custom leather colour or lining

Can I Get My Initials on a Leather Bag?
Yes. Hand-tooled initials or a monogram pressed into the leather — on a bag, a boot shaft, or a jacket panel. It's one of the most requested customisations we do. Reach out to discuss placement and font style.
What's the Difference Between a Custom Order and In-Stock?
In-stock pieces are ready to ship. What you see on the website is what's available — the colourway, the size, the details. If it's in stock, it leaves within our standard dispatch timeframe.
Custom orders are made to your brief. The leather, the colour, the design, the sizing — all confirmed with you before production starts. Lead time is 6–8 weeks from the point of full payment, and the finished piece is yours alone.
