From a 3x3 Marquee to Langley Park: House of Hide at UnWined Perth
UnWined Perth has a new home this year — Langley Park West, right on the Swan River — for two days of WA wine, food and live music on 15–16 May 2026. More than 50 stalls of wineries, breweries, distillers and food vendors, fire pits into the night. It's one of the biggest city events on our calendar. And a long way from where this all started.
What Is UnWined Perth?
UnWined Perth is an annual outdoor food, wine and entertainment festival held in Perth, Western Australia. The 2026 event moves to Langley Park West on the Swan River foreshore and features:
- 50+ stalls of WA wineries, breweries and distillers
- Food vendors across both days
- Live music
- Fire pits into the evening
- Two full days: 15–16 May 2026
Where This All Began
House of Hide didn't start at a venue like Langley Park. It started with Renae, a single 3x3 marquee, and about five or six bags she'd sourced herself — a genuine financial risk, no warehouse, no safety net.
Her sister Julia suggested taking the products to people directly rather than waiting for a website to convert. So Renae applied for a stall at the Bridgetown Blues Festival. That first market weekend is where they saw real potential for the first time.
At the end of that weekend, Renae offered Julia payment in cash, stock, babysitting, or equity. Julia chose equity. That's the moment House of Hide became a two-sister business. Renae leads on sourcing and product. Julia handles customer relationships, event bookings and the back end. That's still how it works.
Why We're at a Wine Festival, Not Just Rodeos
House of Hide has never fitted neatly into one category. The range spans western, boho and everyday leather — and events like UnWined Perth reach a crowd that a rodeo doesn't. City-based, social, dressed for a night out rather than a day in the saddle.
